Will BF of The Last Gun and Moon Team IIIV fame teams up with regular comedy partner Noah for a feast of sketches about humanity’s favourite pastime: winning…

As expected from Will, it’s a chaotic, delightfully shambolic hour with plenty of knowing looks to the audience and the odd bit of corpsing. We meet a variety of ‘winners’, from the under-13 football team Player of the Season awards led by the world’s most insecure dad and his very anti-vaping pal, to a king dealing out some very literal knighthoods and the washed-up 90s comedy duo who can’t even make bird jokes these days because they have to be about ‘neurodiverse owls’. Some of the sketches take a dark turn but the audience are very on board for it!
The sketches are tied together by hilarious video skits; the Buzzfeed-style ‘listicle’ on improving your life and the surprising link between a famous athlete and toothpaste were personal favourites. There’s even a few winning-themed songs to keep the energy going, one of which stuck in my head all the way home…
Will and Noah have great chemistry on stage and the audience interaction works well for the willing victims – myself included! It’s no surprise that the show has scooped an actual award down south; it’s an ideal way to round off a busy festival day.
Dinner Dinner Chicken Winner definitely makes it to my winner’s podium this Fringe.
