Always a date for the calendar – Christmas at the Botanics, Edinburgh. This glowing, glittering, colourful mile long trail of many light displays leads from Reflective Spiral Trees to Geometric Greenhouses, from a Cathedral of Light, filled with the sound of carols, to candles floating in the tree canopy. Through a garlanded archway Santa’s Grotto can be glimpsed nestling among the trees.
Pause on the way to enjoy a refreshment or two; a snack from street food vendors, a warming cup of coffee from the café or marshmallows toasted on an open fire.
The award-winning, light trail producers have designed it with sustainability in mind, and for all ages to enjoy.
