Children’s Classic Concerts at the Usher Hall
’Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring…’ Well, apart from Owen the Elf!
He’s slept through the start of December and he’s in a panic. There’s so much to fit in: letters for Santa, seasonal singalongs to arrange, not to mention a trip to Lapland.
Children’s Classic Concerts, the RSNO, the RSNO Children’s Chorus and the Manor School of Ballet all come together for a festive family performance this Christmas.
Presented by the muti-talented, multi-tasking elf aka Owen Gunnell, energy and enthusiasm abound. Roller-skating, typing, leading a troop of penguins…Owen’s your elf!
The RSNO was led by conductor, Ellie Slorach, with a neat mix of Christmas tunes and classical favourites – ending with the inevitable and much-loved pop medley; just the thing to embarrass your pre-teen!
At about an hour in length, with a lot of variety and interaction, the performances are ideal for children and families of all ages. There’s singing, dancing, a hefty dose of accessible classical music, and no worries about noise or disruption from the little ones.
Sunday 4th Dec at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall & Saturday 10th Dec at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
And Children’s Classic Concerts are not just for Christmas – there are performances throughout the year. Follow the link for more information and booking:
