Help End Global Hunger

Could you survive five days on a fiver? My name is Aggie and I’d like to ask you to join me in taking the Live Below the Line challenge. The idea is simple. Get sponsored to live below the poverty line – £1 a day – for five days (29 April – 3 May) and raise vital funds to support Oxfam’s life-changing work.

Live Below the Line isn’t all about fundraising. It’s also a great way to raise awareness about the daily reality of 1.4 billion people living in extreme poverty worldwide. In a year when lots of charities including Oxfam are coming together to demand that world leaders act on global hunger, it’s another chance to challenge the way we all think about food.

Sign up and take the challenge.

And don’t worry. From recipes to help with fundraising ideas, you’ll get all the support you need to make it happen. So please join in.

If for any reason it’s isn’t appropriate for you to take part in this, you can still make a contribution by getting an IF wristband from an Oxfam shop and showing your support for the Enough Food For Everyone IF campaign too.

This game-changing campaign is already uniting many thousands of supporters. All are determined to ensure our leaders take decisive – and life-saving – action to help end global hunger.

Available for a suggested donation of £1, the wristbands come with a choice of four IF logo colours – orange, yellow, purple and blue. Wear one and you’ll show your solidarity with other IF supporters right across the UK.

Every year, more than two million children die from malnutrition and many more people face the injustice of hunger. But we can change this IF we act together. Be part of something huge – Join the campaign.
