Wanted – Memorabilia from the Burgh Halls

The exciting history of the Burgh Halls and its place at the heart of the Linlithgow community will be celebrated in a permanent exhibition and display in the foyer of the redeveloped building.

To add “colour” to the display West Lothian Council is asking everyone in Linlithgow and further afield to check photo albums, collections of memorabilia, souvenirs of events etc for bits and pieces that relate directly to events that have taken place at the Burgh Halls.

If you have any postcards, souvenirs or photographs of a wedding or a concert, a Burns supper, the Marches or any other events at the halls that you would like to be considered for the permanent display please hand them in to Linlithgow Library by 1 April. All material donated will be recorded and receipted. The originals will then be scanned and returned. The exhibition researchers are also happy to provide individual credits on the finished exhibition.

This is a chance to secure a place for yourself or your family in the fascinating history of the Burgh Halls.
