Peter Pan

UP, UP and AWAY to a LAND of MAGIC and ADVENTURE!

The most magical show in town this Christmas!

The Lyceum Christmas show is always a very special part of Edinburgh’s winter celebrations – and this year is no exception. We’ve taken you over the rainbow to Oz and through the wardrobe to Narnia, now fly away with us to a place where children never have to grow up – Never Land!

Never Land is just around the corner  – well, second to the right and straight on ‘til morning! So close your eyes and wait for a sprinkling of magic fairy dust that will let you soar into the night sky…

Join us on an awfully big adventure with Peter, Wendy, John and Michael (not to mention Tinker Bell and the Lost Boys!) as they do battle with wicked Captain Hook and his pirates, in a world where crocodiles go tick-tock and children never grow up.

The Wizard of Oz and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe were sold out for virtually every performance, so book early to avoid disappointment this year.

The show is directed by Jemima Levick who brought Lyceum audiences a superb version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol in 2005, and whose amazing production of Beauty and the Beast (Dundee Rep) recently won Best Design at the Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland. She will be joined by designer Francis O’Connor (Six Characters in Search of an Author, A Christmas Carol) as well as Lyceum Associate Artist Philip Pinsky on music.

Led by Scott Fletcher (The Dogstone, Traverse Theatre; 365, National Theatre of Scotland) as Peter Pan, the cast also includes award-winning actress Irene MacDougall (Beauty and the Beast, Peer Gynt, Dundee Rep), Stuart Bowman, Francesca Dymond and Samuel Dutton. The Lyceum also welcomes back Kim Gerard (The Man Who Had All the Luck, Mary Rose) as Wendy, Neil Thomas (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) as John and introducing Antony Okill as Michael.

The show runs from Friday 27th November until 3rd January and  is suitable for ages six and up – and perfect for adults too, whether they’ve grown up or not!
