New Dru Fires for Autumn

DRU Fires, the Netherlands based manufacturer of contemporary fires has reinforced its reputation as ‘The Complete Fireplace Company’ by launching new gas, electric and wood-burning fires and stoves in time for the Autumn 2008 season.

Largo is a 1 metre square frameless gas fire with a polished black steel interior and authentic log fire display with high, generous flames. It can be combined with the new ‘Luca Cala’ classic stone surround above.

Largo has a heat output of 8 kW, making it one of the most powerful fires in the DRU Designer Collection. Despite this, it has a total depth of only 447 mm, enabling it to be installed in almost any living room.

Largo Tunnel is a dramatic ‘see-through’ version of the Largo, which can be installed in a dividing wall and viewed from two rooms, such as a dining and living room. It can also be used as a dramatic central room feature.

Like all DRU fires, both versions of the Largo have a superior build quality, with the interiors made from corrosion-free powder coated galvanised steel. Both models feature the new DRU Slim Line II system. The fires have virtually invisible frames for an uninterrupted view of the log fire display.

Following the success of the Scenic 70, DRU has introduced a larger version of this model, Scenic 80. This is an eye-catching fire with glass on 3 sides, making it visible from all corners of the room. Scenic 80 is combined with the DRU tailor-made false chimney breast and unique floating hearth to make a highly individual fireplace experience that is ideal for the contemporary home environment.

Pronto is a new 3-sided hanging fire, designed for homes with no chimney. It is a versatile, balanced flue model with a sleek, anthracite metallic finish and beautiful log fire display. It has a 5.4 kW heat output and can be run on both natural gas and LPG.

Most new DRU fires include an electronic, programmable remote control. All feature the patented Vario Burner® system, which replicates the vivid glow of real burning logs. In addition, DRU supplies practical and atmospheric accessories, like the LUX lighting and ventilation kits, which help to disperse the hot air produced by the fires and extend the warm glow up towards the ceiling.

The new DRU Solo is based on a traditional cast iron, wood burning stove design. At the same time it is a gas fire that uses the DRU balanced flue system. This means that it can be installed anywhere against an outside wall with no need for a chimney. It can be used in living rooms, kitchens, conservatories and many other locations around the home. It has an anthracite finish and an impressive log fire display. The DRU Solo is a classic gas stove at an affordable price.

New DRU Metro fires in gas or electric
DRU has released a new ‘extra tall’ version of its popular Metro Slim Line gas fire. Metro 100 XT is a 1 metre wide frameless fire with a twig or pebble fire display. And for people who prefer an electric fire, Metro 80e is a contemporary hole-in-the-wall electric model with a realistic LED flame picture and low energy consumption.

The versatile new Lanza electric fire
DRU Lanza is a versatile ‘hang on the wall’ electric fire with the exclusive DRU realistic LED flame picture. It can be used just as a decorative fire, or can be adjusted to provide up to 1.5 kW heat output, enough for an average sized living room. It has low energy consumption and is available in black, grey or white finishes.

New electric fireplace suites
The DRU electric fires Cuba, Saba and Malta are now available with a selection of classic fire surrounds. These beautiful and practical fireplace suites require no installation as they can simply be assembled and plugged in. They all feature the exclusive DRU LED flame picture, can be adjusted to provide up to 2 kW heat output and have low energy consumption. Pictured is the Cuba with Monaco Ivory suite.
